Victorian grandeur. Contemporary ease.
Built in 1867 for industrialist John Higson, Oakmere Hall is a Victorian landmark reimagined for modern living. This duplex apartment pairs grand period features with contemporary comfort — from the soaring open-plan living hall to the elegant principal suite. Residents enjoy 14 acres of landscaped grounds, lake views, a private gym, and the prestige of a historic estate within easy reach of Chester, Tarporley, and Manchester.
For our shoot, we wanted to honour that duality. We balanced wide, architectural compositions that celebrated the scale and symmetry of the original build with intimate shots that revealed the craftsmanship in its stonework and interior detailing. The apartment’s open-plan living and dining area became a focal point, framed to emphasise both its period charm and the contemporary kitchen’s clean, modern lines. Natural light spilling through the tall sash windows gave our imagery a soft, timeless quality, while drone sweeps showcased the hall’s 14 acres of manicured gardens, serene lake, and mature woodland.
The grand communal spaces — from the elegant function room to the private gymnasium — were shot with a cinematic sense of arrival, using careful grading to enrich the warmth of the original materials. Exterior twilight shots added depth to the property’s stature, ensuring our visuals conveyed the same sense of prestige one feels on approaching the hall in person.
The final collection presented Oakmere Hall not just as a residence, but as an experience — a balance of security, convenience, and prestige. Crafted to elevate the agent’s brand as much as the listing itself, the imagery offers a window into a lifestyle where historic elegance meets contemporary ease.
